Pave It Forward has been named to the 2026 Top Contractor list by Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction magazine. This is our second year in a row on the list, and this one means even more than the first.
Two years on the list
We made this same list for the first time in 2025 when our company was less than two years old. This year Pave It Forward made the cut again. The list is published every year by Pavement Maintenance & Reconstruction, one of the industry's leading trade magazines, based on sales figures and reporting by paving companies across North America.
Why back-to-back matters
The magazine's reporting shows the paving industry has been shrinking over the last few years, even among the top paving companies in the country. Holding a spot on that list two years in a row tells us our work is holding up.
What makes us most proud is our customers going out of their way to thank us, recommending us to wonderful partners, and introducing us to new neighbors. That is what keeps a company on a list like this, and it means more to us than a plaque on the wall.
The people behind it
Recognition like this starts with our crew, because without quality work, growth cannot happen. They show up early, sweat the details, and treat every driveway and parking lot in Kentucky and Southern Indiana like it is their own. A special shoutout to Tony Laubheimer, our Director of Paving Operations, for his efforts in the field.
Our VP of Sales, Josh Steffen, and our customer support team deserve the same recognition for their customer service standards. They, along with every single person here, are willing to build something different in the asphalt paving industry and within our slice of Kentucky.
Providing Value
We are not the cheapest, and we do not try to be, because every customer gets what they pay for. We explain the process thoroughly, we plan the logistics before the first truck arrives, and we stand behind our product after the last roller leaves. We consciously work hard to make sure the value is obvious to our partners.
We also do things other contractors do not do, like showing our customers job load tickets for the actual material purchased and placed on their site that day, so they can verify the tonnage and depth they requested.
And through our Heart is in the Pavement Program, every job still gives something back to a local charity. Giving back with every job is not a slogan we retire when things get busy and it brings us additional joy throughout the season.
What is next
More of what got us here. Honest estimates, improved communication from the first phone call to the final walkthrough, and finished work we are proud to put our name on.
