Eligibility: This contest is open to residents of East Louisville, KY. Each household may submit one entry per address. Participants under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to enter.

Theme: To align with Pave It Forward's community values, chalk artworks should reflect themes such as "Community," "Heart," or "Fun and Funny! (After all... are drawing with chalk here!)” 

 

Need help with what to draw? Here are some questions… 

   - What places do you love in your community (Schools, attractions, restaurants)?
   - Who are the people you like being within your family or community?
   - Pave It Forward - words and logos are great too! ; )

Materials: Only washable sidewalk chalk may be used. The use of acrylic paints, oil pastels, permanent markers, spray paints, and chalk pastels is prohibited.

Submission: Participants must complete two items to enter the contest officially:
   1)   Visit PaveItForwardLLC.com/ChalkArt and fill out the official entry
   2)  Post 1-5 high-resolution photos of your driveway artwork to Facebook, Instagram, or both and tag Pave It Forward. On facebook, our handle is @PaveItForward. On Instagram, our handle is @paveitforwardllc. (Ensure that the photo captures the entire artwork and is taken in daylight for clarity.)

Deadline: The contest will run from Friday, March 29 - to Sunday, April 14, 2024. All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM on April 14, 2024.

 

Judging: A panel of judges, including Pave It Forward representatives, will select the winners. Judging criteria will be based on creativity, adherence to theme, artistic merit, and public votes. See Public Voting for an automatic top three placement.

 

Public Voting: Share the photos you took of your artwork to FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM beginning Friday, March 29, 2024. For every comment you get, you will receive one vote. The driveway post that receives the most comments is guaranteed a spot in the top 3!!! Voting Ends Tuesday, April 16, at midnight.

Prizes:
The winner to get $2,500 off a new driveway, driveway repairs, or a free sealcoat! 
2nd Place - $1,250 off a new driveway, driveway repairs, or a sealcoat!
3rd Place - $500 off a new driveway, driveway repairs, or a sealcoat!

All registered participants through the website get $100 off a sealcoat job.

 

Notification: Winners will be notified via email and announced on Pave It Forward's social media pages Tuesday April 23, 2024

 

Permission: By entering, participants give Pave It Forward permission to use their images for marketing purposes.
